Art and History museum excursion


Eden, Ashlee, and Tori examine convict manacles from Queensland’s earliest colonial history. 

On Wednesday 1st of April Year 11 and 12 students from Ancient History, Creative and Visual Arts classes visited museums and art galleries across Brisbane.

Ancient History students visited the Commissariat, Queensland’s second oldest building, to look at the work of archaeologists in conservation and restoration after the 2011 floods. These students also visited the RD Milns Antiquities Museum at the University of Queensland and attended workshops on ancient Greece.​

The Visual and Creative Arts students visited the Queensland Galleries of Art and Modern Art as well as galleries at the University of Queensland.​
