Bookfair gets students involved in event management

Fairy Tales is the theme to this year’s Bookfair at Stanthorpe State High School and
Resource Centre Manager Mrs Melissa Pascoe invites all primary school students to come and visit the Bookfair this week. “We are open in the afternoons until 4pm so students can bring their parents along to read a book, make a craft or see what books are for sale from Scholastic. Most local primary schools are coming to enjoy our extended activities this week for Bookfair.”

The Year 11 Tourism students are highly involved in organising this year’s Bookfair as part of their assessment in event management. They have designed the craft activities and assisted with decorating the Resource Centre. During the week they will help the primary students complete the activities in both Science and Home Economics, many dressed in fairy tale costumes.

Home schooled students are also welcome to join in, just contact the school Resource Centre (Library) to book an appropriate time slot or pop in after 3pm.
Bookfair is open from Monday 21st May to Thursday 24th May until 4pm each day.
