CWA Luncheon catered by students

The CWA presented a certificate of appreciation to Stanthorpe State High School representatives Myia Watson, Stacy Simpson & Veronica Johnstone.

Stanthorpe State High School Certificate II in Hospitality students had the opportunity to cook and cater for 108 guests at the annual Queensland Country Women’s Association Conference on the 19th June 2018, held at the Stanthorpe Fellowship Church on Amosfield Road. Guests arrived from neighbouring towns to enjoy day of arts, photography, flower displays, knitting and dressmaking and company, as well as enjoying a two-course meal consisting of roast meats and local seasonal vegetables and delectably warm sticky date puddings and apple and pear crumble.  Guests clearly enjoyed the day as the audience gave a round of applause and stated, “the students exceeded service and food presentation expectations”. Well done to all of the Year 11 and 12 Hospitality students, they worked incredibly hard on the day and their efforts were indeed recognised and valued at the event. Thank-you to the CWA of Stanthorpe Branch for giving us the opportunity to cater this event.
