Cross Country Congratulations

Langan – Winning House

Stanthorpe State High School’s Cross Country was held last Thursday. From midday onwards, all students competed over 3km, 4km, or 6km courses in a battle to see who would be crowned Cross Country Age Champions for 2018.

Student’s efforts did not disappoint, with Jordan Waterworth setting a new record in the 13 years boys section. Jack Clark, the previous record holder, was there to congratulate Jordan on getting his name into the record book.

Langan House came out on top for the day and the house captains jumped up to receive the trophy to the cheer of Langan house. Finch and Withers tied for the teams event. Congratulations to all houses!

In the same spirit of the Commonwealth Games, Stanthorpe State High School encourages everyone to participate to the best of their ability at the Cross Country. As the pictures show, everyone had a go, smiled, laughed and cheered their friends on over the line.
