Farewell to 2016 Graduates

It is with pride that our school says farewell to the graduating class of 2016. The Senior Graduation Dinner on Thursday night saw our beautiful young ladies and handsome young gentlemen sharing a night of stories, video glimpses of 6 year olds and tall tales as they reminisced on their 13 years together at school. The staff enjoyed watching the students sharing the traditional dance with their parents (remarking that next year we might add a few extra dance lessons to the final term's curriculum!) The Year 12s joined the school for their final assembly on Friday morning. It was an assembly of mixed emotions as the 2016 student leaders handed the baton to the 2017 leaders and the school community said goodbye to them. On behalf of their peers, the Captains acknowledged the important role that their parents and families played in helping them along the way. They sincerely thanked the staff for their support, mentoring and guidance over the years. A few tears were shed and shirts were signed then the Graduates officially walked out the school gate for the last time. The staff and students of Stanthorpe State High School wish every one of our Graduates a successful and rewarding future. Let us know how you are going. Best wishes!
