Fun, friendship and community service

Katelin Fawdon, Rhea Rishika, Jade Bryan, Caitlin Streets, Alex Linton, Tessa Pascoe, Josh Clarke and Phoenix Frith.

This term has seen the Stanthorpe State High School Interact Club commence at their new time and location. Students of all ages and interest groups shared afternoon tea whilst watching a short film all about Interact.  Our focus this term is on building a strong new membership base through ‘getting to know you’ activities. We have had a very entertaining time playing ‘minute to win it’ inspired games. Students have been leaving with a big smile on their face!

Interact is a partnership with Stanthorpe State High School, the Rotary Club of Stanthorpe and Rotary Satellite Club. This initiative encourages young people to make new friends, learn valuable leadership skills and help others in need all through running their very own community group. Students are guided through this program by Interact Advisor Kaylah Adams (teacher and past Rotarian) and Mentor Ann Richardson (teacher and current Rotary Satellite Club member).

Interact is seeking new members from any age group. Feel free to bring a friend or come along to make some new ones! The Interact Club will meet every second (odd) Tuesday of the term, 3.30-5.00pm at the Granite Belt Community Centre, next to the School Library. Attendance is free and afternoon tea is provided. For more information, contact Kaylah Adams on or 4681 5888.
