Happy Valley visit makes tourism real to students

Year 12s at Happy Valley Resort

Year 12 Certificate III in Tourism students visited Happy Valley Resort and the Granite Belt Brewery recently. Owners Geoff and Dee Davenport showed students around the site including the main building, restaurant, outdoor areas and cabins.

Students were also given a detailed tour of the brewery where the beer making process was explained in detail.  This real world learning experience enhanced students' studies in four of their units relating to the Food, Wine and Tourism Industry. The students and teachers appreciate Geoff and Dee's time and their consistent support of the Stanthorpe State High School tourism students.
