Students enjoying the activities of Mental Health Week

Mental Health Week is an annual event held to recognise the value and importance of our mental health and wellbeing. This year it was celebrated with sausages sizzling on the BBQ, music playing and fun activities to enjoy, creating a carnival atmosphere. Staff from Headspace, Child and Youth Mental Health and CDS promoted mental wellness as they chatted with students. Activities were offered including making stress balls. Charlotte Bush from Total Balance engaged with students as she offered healthy apples and promoted a healthy lifestyle.

Staff were not forgotten as Helen Ferrier, Mallow Wellbeing, offered a session on Mindfulness Meditation after school. Mental Health Week is an excellent reminder to care and nurture ourselves through positive fun activities, healthy nutrition and regular exercise.
