Year 7 students undergoing their final exam in numeracy

On the 12th, 13th and 14th of May Year 7 and 9 students across Australia participated in the annual NAPLAN testing. The National Assessment Program in Literacy and Numeracy is an annual national assessment for all students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9.  With the introduction of Year 7’s to high school, Stanthorpe State High School had a third of its school population undergoing testing in  reading, writing, language conventions and numeracy through five exam sessions over three days. Students are to be congratulated for their efforts during this process. Later in the year parents will be issued with a NAPLAN report from these tests that give an indication of individual achievement in these tests compared to the average performance of all students in Australia.
