Positive Senior Conference

Students doing a concentration exercise

Stanthorpe State High School’s  Year 12 cohort have started 2015 positively with a Senior Conference, designed to support them through their final year of schooling, but also reminding them to enjoy the journey.

Students heard from Principal, Mr Peter Grant, about achieving their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) as well as the RACQ about preparing to learn to drive.  Peer Power then treated the seniors with a presentation and workshop, which challenged their current perceptions and offered skills that will maximise their performance.

Student feedback on the Peer Power presentation included, 'I learnt that I define myself! Nothing is stopping me if I control my attitude and self-confidence. I have learnt that failure is essential in success and I will take that with me in my education and life endeavours.'

Good luck for this year.
