STEM day @ USQ

Dan Murphy and Lochlen Burns get hands on at USQ

Students from Year 8 and 9 travelled to the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba for a day to inspire students to study STEM and follow STEM careers. Students completed workshops in areas as diverse as nursing, biomedical science, engineering, astronomy and 3-D printing. Many students had hands-on opportunities to experience what it’s like to learn and work in these exciting fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The excursion was an excellent way for students to explore options for the future and understand the connections between school and the real world.
