Students honour the fallen

School captains hosted a morning assembly last week to commemorate ANZAC DAY. The captains spoke to the entire student body about the importance of remembering all the soldiers who have fought in past wars, particularly those who died at Gallipoli more than 100 years ago.

The audience was reminded that ANZAC Day was created as a way to honour the dead and remember the living. A minute’s silence was observed and the flag was raised in a symbolic reminder of why soldiers fought and why we must remember them.
