Swimming carnival successes

Great student participation

On Wednesday 25 February, Stanthorpe State High School held its annual interhouse swimming carnival. After being postponed from the previous Friday (due to forecasted rain associated with the cyclone), students dressed up in House colours to compete for Champion House. Participation was great and with a new cohort of year 7s, new records were set for the 12yrs age group.

Langan broke a 15 year drought to take out Champion House, while Withers took out the Participation Trophy. Finch won the Relay Trophy and ‘The Rock’ for Best House. With the work of the House Captains and the consistent cheering throughout the day, Finch won The Rock with Withers close behind.
