USQ Student Experience Day a hit

Year 11 students at USQ

A keen group of year 11 students visited Toowoomba’s University of Southern Queensland on Thursday 14th May. They participated in the “Student Experience Day” to explore what university life is all about. Students were able to choose from a vast number of session topics and then attend their preferred lecture. Students chose sessions including nursing, education, creative/visual arts, engineering, psychology, law and justice. Some also attended career planning sessions, scholarship workshops and campus tours.

Approximately 450 students from across the Darling Downs attended and Stanthorpe State High students enjoyed meeting many of these students in the lectures and also whilst playing volleyball with them and USQ students at lunch time. USQ were incredibly welcoming and all students thoroughly enjoyed the day. Everyone left with a very positive impression of the USQ campus, courses, staff and students.
