QATSIF students recognised

Peter Grant presenting Tyneshia Cheeks with her achievement certificate

Each year the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Foundation (QATSIF) awards scholarships to Indigenous Queensland students. These students must adhere to strict guidelines including attendance and behaviour.  This scholarship money has allowed students all over the state to finish their Year 12 schooling as well as be involved in extra-curricular activities.  Often our students undertake school-based traineeships where extra items such as work boots are an added expense, making QATSIF financial support invaluable.

This year Stanthorpe State High School was able to secure scholarships for five students who have now achieved their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).  On their final day of school, each student was presented with a certificate to recognise their outstanding achievement by the Principal, Mr Peter Grant.
