Year 7 to 9
Technology is a driving force in the world today. It also introduces some remarkable opportunities for schools to expand what's possible for teaching and learning. At Stanthorpe State High School, we offer a BYO or Hire iPad program for our junior secondary school (Years 7 to 9).
The Take-Home iPad Scheme is where students pay a fee per year to have the
use of an iPad provided by the school. These may be 2nd hand devices
which have been previously used by other students.

Year 10 to 12
As students progress to senior schooling, subjects change and so does the device requirements. A BYO or Hire Laptop is a better fit for senior students, as it prepares our senior students' progression into the workforce. A laptop will also meet all the requirements of the subjects on offer for senior schooling.
The Take-Home Laptop Scheme is where students pay a fee per year to have the use of laptop provided by the school. These may be 2nd hand devices which have been previously used by other students.
There are no special instructions for enrolling school owned laptops, as they are prepared by the school.
